Seventy Binus International Students Graduated from BINUS University on 54th Ceremony
BINUS University held its 54th graduation ceremony at Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta on Tuesday (7/26). There were 70 graduates of BINUS International and BINUS Northumbria School of Design (BNSD) from 10 different majors, which are Computer Science, Information Systems, Film, Communication, International Business, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Management, Accounting, Graphic Design and New Media, and Fashion Management.
In this special occasion, Jasmine Hanny Surkatty, Visual Communication Design Program student, claimed the highest GPA with 3.47. During the same event, BINUS University also awarded 10 doctorate degrees, 330 master degrees, 2.461 bachelor degrees, 19 graduates of professional bachelor, and 2 students graduated from associate degree. With this 54th graduation ceremony, BINUS University have contributed 92.934 graduates to the nation and world.
In this 54th graduation ceremony, 67 students graduated with Summa Cumlaude honor – 54 students with 3.90 plus GPA and 13 graduates received Binusian Award of Excellence with their 4.00 GPA. In addition, BINUS University also awarded Binusian Award, an award to recognize exceptional students who have noteworthy academic or non-academic achievements as well as innovative works and active in competitions or scientific Activities. This award was presented to Inca Maya Sari. A, a System Information program graduate, who managed to be the winner of Lomba Mahasiswa Berprestasi Tingkat Kopertis Wilayah III DKI Jakarta.
Rector of BINUS UNIVERSITY Prof. Dr. Ir. Harjanto Prabowo, MM in his speech tips all the graduates to keep on learning and continue to improve their knowledge and skills. “I have faith that you can achieve all of your dreams and be succesful in pursuing career with knowledge, skills, learning habit, great determination, and high motivation. Keep on learning and enhance your knowledge and skills so you can be prepared to compete in ASEAN Economic Society and view it as a great opportunity instead. Therefore, we have to use this moment to maximize our innovation, creativity and productivity, rather than be proud with our current resourceful nature but not use it wisely,” he said.
