To celebrate the world of art and creativity and the outstanding talents behind them, BINUS Northumbria School of Design (BNSD) held Artvolution 2019, a student graduation show and exhibition of their works, on Friday, 5 July 2019, at The Hall, 8th floor, at Senayan City, Jakarta.
ArtVol, which stands for Artvolution, a combination of Art and Evolution, showcased the final project of final year students and other courses’ best projects. In total, 40 graduating students from the Fashion and Graphic Design and New Media programs took part in this event.
Held from noon until evening, the Artvolution 2019 had two main events. The first was the exhibition, which showcased the works of the students as well as several notable graduates. Following that, a fashion show showcased fashion collections from 33 outstanding young designers for the finale.
Artvolution 2019 was attended by parents of graduating students, alumni, high school students, and industry partners. Here, they could witness the results of the hard work and masterpieces from BINUS Northumbria School of Design graduates and students. Furthermore, this event also allowed the industry to search for new talent and give the students’ families and friends an opportunity to toast their achievements, as well as provide students with potential prospects.
Novi Dila Kana, the Head of the Graphic Design and New Media program of BINUS Northumbria School of Design, said that it was the larger scale and content that differentiated this event and the Artvolution that was held in previous years. “This year’s Artvolution is exposing more students’ final projects, that’s why the theme is GradShow. I hope this ArtVol 2019 graduation show will provide a greater exposure for the students as well as the graduates from BINUS Northumbria School of Design,” she said.
