BINUS UNIVERSITY Wins 2017 Indonesian MAKE Study Award

Another outstanding achievement was obtained by BINUS UNIVERSITY, a knowledge institution that tirelessly strives for excellence to fulfill its vision to become a world-class university. On Wednesday, 27 September 2017, BINUS UNIVERSITY was awarded as the best in the 2017 Indonesian Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise (MAKE) Study Award – a recognition for organizations with the best knowledge management in Indonesia – during the 2017 Dunamis Study Awarding Event: “Organizations of the Future”, in the A & B Ballroom, The Ritz-Carlton Pacific Place, Jakarta.

Due to this achievement, BINUS UNIVERSITY is one of the three finalists that will represent Indonesia in the 2017 Asian MAKE Study Award 2017. The other finalists are PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT United Tractors, Tbk.

Aside from becoming the winner of the 2017 Indonesian MAKE Study Award, BINUS UNIVERSITY also excels in eight MAKE criteria, in which organizations are measured for their commitment and maturity in knowledge. The eight criteria are creating an enterprise knowledge-driven culture, developing knowledge workers through senior management leadership, delivering knowledge-based products/services/solutions, maximizing enterprise intellectual capital, creating an environment for collaborative knowledge sharing, creating a learning organization, delivering value based on customer knowledge, and transforming enterprise knowledge into shareholder value.

Nelly, S.Kom., MM, the Vice Rector of Academic Operations & Resources of BINUS UNIVERSITY, expressed her pride and happiness for this achievement. She hoped that this achievement will also motivate all BINUSIANS to manage their knowledge better. “This is an opportunity for us to get acquainted with numerous industries in Asia, so they will get to know us. This is also a way for our students to enter the global world,” she added.

Even after this accomplishment, BINUS UNIVERSITY will continue to develop its Knowledge Management & Innovation. Dr. Elidjen, S.Kom., MInfoCommTech, the Knowledge Innovation Manager of BINUS UNIVERSITY, said that the development will be done continuously because the Knowledge Management & Innovation section is an important asset to support BINUS campuses distributed in several areas, such as Malang, Bandung, and Bekasi.

“We hope we can consistently take part in the Indonesian MAKE Study Award, and hopefully this consistency will bring many values to BINUS UNIVERSITY in the future,” he concluded.
