The Graphic Design and New Media Program Showcases the Students’ Creations through Port o’ Folio 2019
The Graphic Design and New Media program of BINUS Northumbria School of Design (BNSD) held the Port o’ Folio – an annual event that is also an opportunity for the students to display their final assignments from the Portfolio Class to the public.
Held from 3-25 February 2019 at the BNSD fX Campus, fX Sudirman Mall, 6th floor, Jakarta, the Port o’ Folio 2019 was conducted as an opportunity for the students learn how to build up their portfolio and find their strengths and unique creativity to be recognized by the public. In total 29 students were participating in this year’s Port o’ Folio.
In addition, the Graphic Design and New Media program also invited some industry professionals to visit and contact the students directly if they were interested in hiring these third year students to work with the related industry. Novi Dila Kana, the Head of the Graphic Design and New Media program said that through the previous Port o’ Folio, some students managed to get internships and jobs at companies like Disney Jakarta and Emtek Group.
“Through this exhibition, we hope the students can learn how to show themselves as designers vividly and get in touch directly with the industry while they are still students,” she concluded.
